Rejuvenation of the back of the hand
Hands reveal a lot about a person. They tell who we are, what we are and they give away our age.
While state-of-the art beauty medicine offers numerous – mostly surgical –options for feeling more attractive and younger, there are parts of the body where we often “forget” that, despite surgery and other rejuvenation treatments, they might reveal our true age: our throat, our elbows and, in particular, the backs of our hands.
Many women dread their aged appearance and the age marks caused by sun damage; it makes them look more tired and less energetic than they actually feel.
For many years now, we have been using fillers for hand rejuvenation very successfully. This efficient way of hand rejuvenation is accepted by both men and women.
Hand lifting with fillers is pain-free and takes only a few minutes. The result is visible immediately after the treatment.
The characteristic age wrinkles disappear and the projecting veins recede; even age spots may disappear completely.
The risk of an allergic reaction to the filler is virtually non-existent and no side effects are known to date. One single session may rejuvenate your hand by 5 to 10 years.
Horizontal lines on the throat
As the skin on the throat is very thin and the throat region is constantly subject to more or less conscious tension, this may lead to a so-called “turkey neck” with mostly shallow lines running horizontally to the throat. Botox® is able to smoothen these muscle strands.
A firm throat can very positively affect a person’s appearance.
It is possible to prevent excessive perspiration in different areas of the body, for example on the hands or under the arms. But the treatment is also suitable for hands and feet and for the face.
The most common application of Botox®, however, is for underarm treatment. Here, Botox® impacts the sweat glands as well as the muscles; however, the muscles are not just relaxed but temporarily completely disabled. For a certain period of time the production of sweat will be inhibited in this area.
The treatment will start taking effect 4 to 6 days after the injection; the treated area will then be bone-dry for a period of 6 to 9 months.
