The so-called “bunny lines” originate at the root of the nose, stretching over the upper back of the nose towards the inside of the eye. They may also be vertical or horizontal lines, but in most cases they run in a diagonal direction.
These lines, even if very pronounced, can be very easily reduced by Botox®, while it must be said that they may be considered as appealing by some, all the more as they are in many cases attributable to frequent smiling.
Due to the small treatment area, the thin skin at the root of the nose and the weak nose muscles, the required dosage and number of Botox injections is quite low: 1-2 injections on each side will suffice.
This fold runs in an arch-shape along the side of the nose from the upper nasal wing to the corner of the mouth. In most cases, the fold is deep, in rare cases it can also consist of several not so deep lines.
Shape, depth and length depend on a person’s facial muscles, age and subcutaneous fatty tissue. The preferred treatment here consists of highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid preparations or "calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse®)".
Optical adjustment of humps
By lifting the surrounding area with fillers, a mild nasal hump can be rendered invisible or reduced.
It should be noted, however, that this procedure does not actually reduce the hump as in corrective nasal surgery; instead, the transition from the nose and the forehead is filled to conceal the hump. This solution may therefore only make sense in some cases.
In the same way, this procedure may be used to smooth out or remedy smaller and larger irregularities (e.g. in the case of a saddle nose).
